During this period it is assumed that the Canadian Bank Note company was actually engraving the dies
for Canadian stamps. This may in fact be at least partly incorrect.
Some of the documentation available from the production files for the 1$ Totem show that the
ABN company in New York was at least engraving initial essays for that stamp.
The vignette for the royal visit stamp of 1959 actually has an ABN imprint on it.
